I decided to do a double page contents page because it gave me more space to include the editor's not and and image of the previous magazine, as well as a main image without it seeming too crowded - something I didn't want to replicate from magazines such as Take a Break.

Per the brief, I also included the the web address of my website on both contents pages.

I made sure that both contents pages had similar features in order to create a sense of branding. The fonts used are also found on Issue 1 contents, and the layout of the articles is similar.

RESEARCH: Contents Page Inspiration

 

I want to mimic the layout of the marie claire contents page, with a main image being the focus of the page, as it makes the page seem less cluttered and busy. 

I do however like the GQ contents page, as the page numbers are obvious and clear. I may include this idea in my own contents page, with my feature articles having larger numbers to attract the reader, as shown in the GQ contents page.
